100% hardwood pellets
- 🍄 100% Hardwood Pellets: Ideal for growing mushrooms such as oyster mushrooms, shiitake mushrooms, and other wood-decaying varieties.
- 🌱 PURE INGREDIENTS: Made from 100% natural hardwood sawdust (beech & oak), with no additives, ensuring a chemical-free, nutrient-rich growing medium.
- 💪 STANDARDIZATION AND CLEANLINESS: Pelletizing sawdust removes most contaminants, ensuring a clean, ready-to-use substrate.
- 📦 EASY TO USE AND STORE: Ready to hydrate and inoculate with your favorite mycelium, these pellets are convenient to store, taking up four times less space than unpelletized sawdust.
- 🌍 ORGANIC CERTIFICATION: Certified "BE-BIO-01" by Certisys, guaranteeing an environmentally friendly product that complies with organic farming standards.
Composition: 100% hardwood sawdust (beech & oak)
Suitable for use in organic farming. Our pellets are guaranteed to be free of additives.
Pelletizing of ingredients allows for standardization of the substrate and the removal of a large portion of contaminants during compaction. Storage takes up 4 times less space, saving you room. Long-term preservation is guaranteed, so you can use it whenever you need it.
It is primarily lignin that, through compaction and heating, binds the sawdust into pellets; no adhesives or other additives are used.
Usage
Hardwood pellets can be used on their own or blended with other materials that are richer in sugars, nitrogen, or protein, for example. Adding such richer materials makes the substrate less selective, and therefore more susceptible to contamination by bacteria or mold.
We recommend using beech pellets with our 3T Unicorn bags.
Put 1 kg of pellets in each bag.
Add approximately 1.8 liters of boiling water (99°C) to the bag (equivalent to 60–65% of the total weight of pellets and water), and allow the pellets to absorb the water. Seal the top of the bags to prevent contamination. Let cool for 3–4 hours or longer until the temperature drops below 38°C.
Next, inoculate the cooled pellets with approximately 10% mycelium. A high percentage of grains will enrich the substrate and increase productivity.
Example: 5 3T bags containing 1 kg of hardwood pellets and 1.8 liters of water. How much mycelium is needed? If you use 300 grams of mycelium per bag, you will need a 1.5-kg bag ofmycelium on grain.
