Return and Refund Policy

1. Right of withdrawal for non-perishable products

For non-perishable products that are unused and in their original packaging, the consumer has 14 calendar days from the date of receipt to exercise their right of withdrawal.

To be eligible for a return, the product must be:

  • unused,
  • in perfect condition,
  • in its original packaging,
  • and, if applicable, unopened.

You may be asked to provide proof of purchase or an order number.

2. Return fees and procedure

Returns must be sent by mail, after La Mycosphère has approved the request.

The customer is responsible for return shipping costs, unless the error was on our part or the product was found to be defective upon receipt.

Returned items must be properly protected to prevent damage during return shipping.

3. Live, perishable, or temperature-sensitive goods

Certain products cannot be returned after shipment due to preservation, temperature, biosafety, hygiene, or traceability concerns.

This applies in particular to live or perishable products, such as mycelium, liquid cultures, inoculated substrates, fruiting blocks, and pre-activated kits, as well as products requiring special storage conditions.

Since transport conditions cannot be guaranteed during return shipping, these products cannot be reshipped, restocked, or reused after a second shipment.

4. Non-returnable items

In particular, the following items cannot be returned, unless there is a proven defect or an error on our part:

  • live or perishable goods,
  • mycelia and live cultures,
  • liquid cultures,
  • inoculated substrates, fruiting blocks pre-activated kits,
  • custom-made or made-to-order products,
  • consumables that have been opened or started,
  • sealed products that have been opened when returns are not possible for hygiene reasons or to protect the product,
  • products that have been opened, used, are incomplete, or are unsellable,
  • gift cards.

This exclusion does not affect the statutory warranty of conformity in the event of a defect existing at the time of delivery.

5. Return Procedure

Before returning any items, please contact us at contact@lamycosphere.com and include the following information:

  • your order number,
  • the products in question,
  • the reason for the return,
  • clear photos showing whether the product is damaged or defective.

Once your request has been approved, we will send you the return instructions.

6. Refunds

Once we have received and inspected your returned item, we will notify you by email whether your refund has been approved or denied.

If the refund is approved, it will be processed as soon as possible using the same payment method used for the order.

If the product or its packaging is damaged, a deduction may be applied to the refund to compensate for the loss in value. If the product is deemed unsellable, the return may be refused.

7. Unclaimed packages

If a package is not picked up within the specified time frame at a pickup location, or if delivery fails due to an incorrect or incomplete address or the recipient’s repeated absence, any delivery charges already incurred will not be refunded.

Depending on the condition of the products, we may offer to reship them. The cost of this reshipment will be the customer's responsibility.

For live products, a returned shipment due to non-pickup or a failed delivery generally compromises their quality and may make it impossible to reship or restock them.
