Organic Reishi (Ganoderma lucidum) from Europe, available in dried pieces or powder form.
A mushroom historically associated with balance
In Asian traditions, Reishi has been associated for centuries with longevity, balance, and wellness practices. This long history explains the interest it generates today and the extensive research devoted to its natural compounds, particularly beta-glucans and triterpenes.
At La Mycosphère, we have chosen to prioritize European, organic, and traceable supply chains. Our two product sizes meet the same quality standards but come from two different supply chains:
- 🇧🇪 Chopped Reishi: grown, harvested, and dried directly by La Mycosphère in Belgium.
- 🇪🇺 Reishi powder: sourced from specialized European partner producers.
Our experience as a producer allows us to supplement our own production with a selection of European products that meet our criteria for origin, traceability, and quality.
Why choose our Reishi?
- 🌱 Certified organic: Reishi grown in accordance with organic farming standards.
- 🇪🇺 European origin: We prioritize mushrooms produced in Europe and supply chains with clearly identified origins.
- 🇧🇪 Some are grown right here: our Reishi mushrooms, sold in pieces, are grown in our mushroom farm in Belgium.
- 🔎 La Mycosphère Selection: Our powder is sourced from European partners based on criteria such as quality, traceability, and production methods.
- 🍄 Mushroom Expertise: Our experience as growers allows us to evaluate and select our raw materials based on our practical knowledge of Reishi cultivation.
Two sizes, two uses
🍄 Chopped Reishi – grown by La Mycosphère in Belgium
Our Reishi pieces are grown right here in our mushroom farm. They are particularly well-suited for decoctions, broths, and homemade extracts. Reishi naturally has a very firm, woody texture; therefore, the pieces are typically steeped or simmered, then removed before consumption.
🥄 Reishi Powder – European Selection
Our organic Reishi powder is sourced from our partner producers in Europe. The powdered form makes it easy to measure out and incorporate into hot beverages, culinary preparations, or other recipes.
Both formats allow you to choose between the raw material grown right here and a convenient powdered form sourced from specialized European producers.
Our Reishi, grown in Belgium
The Reishi mushrooms sold in pieces are grown directly by La Mycosphère in Belgium.
We prepare a biological substrate composed primarily of selected plant and grain materials, which is then inoculated with our Ganoderma lucidum culture. The mushroom takes several months to develop and requires precise control of temperature, humidity, and air circulation.
Une fois arrivés à maturité, les carpophores sont récoltés puis séchés lentement à basse température (<42°C). Cette transformation permet d’obtenir un produit stable tout en préservant au mieux ses caractéristiques naturelles.
Our European Reishi powder
In order to also offer Reishi in a form that is easier to measure out and incorporate into recipes, we have decided to expand our product line to include organic Reishi powder sourced from Europe.
To this end, we select specialized European partners capable of meeting our requirements regarding the quality, traceability, and origin of the mushrooms.
This approach reflects the evolution of La Mycosphère: we remain mushroom growers, while also applying our expertise to select high-quality products from European supply chains.
Raw Reishi or Reishi extract?
The pieces and powder offered on this page are minimally processed forms of the mushroom. They are particularly suitable for people who want to make their own preparations.
If you’re looking for a ready-to-use extract, we also offer our Organic Reishiliquid extract , made from the mushroom’s fruiting body.
