General Laborer – Mushroom Production

La Mycosphère is a Belgian company renowned for the quality of its mushroom-based products, combining scientific rigor, artisanal innovation, and ethical commitment.

We produce mycelium, growing media, and dietary supplements made from medicinal mushrooms. Our products are sold primarily through our online store: www.lamycosphere.com.

As part of our growth, we are looking for a reliable and motivated production worker for the season (from September 29, 2025, to May 31, 2026), working 4–5 days a week.

MISSIONS

Here are the main tasks:

Substrate production : bagging, folding, handling, pasteurization.
Logistics : order fulfillment, packaging.
Inventory Management : packaging, storage, inventory.
Laboratory work : inoculation under a fume hood, sterile conditions (masks, gloves, lab coats), strict adherence to hygiene procedures.
Maintenance : daily cleaning of equipment, tools, and surfaces. Cleanliness is essential to ensuring production quality.

The tasks are physical and repetitive, but varied.

DESIRED PROFILE

Good physical condition : This position involves regularly handling loads of varying weights (up to 25 kg). The work is primarily performed standing up, in a warehouse where temperatures can be low in the winter and hot in the summer.
Experience in manual or physical labor : Experience in construction, agriculture, warehousing, manufacturing, or logistics is a plus.
Diligence and independence : You are able to follow precise procedures, work independently, and have an eye for detail.
Motivation and Team Spirit : You’re eager to learn, committed to your work, and enjoy being part of a small team where reliability and cooperation are key.
Transportation : You have your own vehicle or can easily get to the Lonzée train station. Living nearby is an advantage.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Period : September 29, 2025, to May 31, 2026
Work hours : 4 to 5 days a week (to be discussed based on qualifications)
Hours : 9:00 a.m. – 5:21 p.m. (30-minute lunch break + 15 minutes per day)
Contract : Fixed-term contract, with the possibility of advancement depending on opportunities
Pay : €13.50/hour gross
Non-statutory benefits : meal vouchers, eco-vouchers, contribution toward transportation costs
