What is a laminar flow hood?

A laminar flow hood draws in air, passes it through a pre-filter and then a HEPA H14 filter, and returns clean, uniform air in a steady stream. This allows you to work “within” a curtain of filtered air that limits the entry of spores, dust, and particles into your open containers.

The H14 HEPA filter captures ≥ 99.995% of particles ≥ 0.3 µm, including fine dust, spores, and biological microparticles.

Use of a room under positive pressure

The PureFlow 600 can also be used as a filtered air supply unit to create a slight positive pressure in a small room (principle: more filtered air entering than leaving), which limits the inflow of unfiltered air when the door is opened.
