Pre-cast Petri dishes
- 🧫 10 PRE-FILLED PETRI DISHES: Ideal for fungal cultures and cloning, with sterilized agar.
- 💎 BENEFITS: Easy to use and reduces the risk of contamination.
- 🔬 DIFFERENT MEDIA: "MPA" medium (Malt, Peptone, Agar-agar) for mycelium cultivation, and "Sabouraud + Antibiotic" medium for purifying the mycelium.
- 📏 STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS: Store upright at room temperature in the original packaging. Use promptly.
- 🌍 VERSATILE USES: Ideal for culturing microorganisms, analyzing samples, and conducting laboratory tests.

Using pre-poured agar plates offers many advantages over manual preparation. In addition to being convenient, they reduce the risk of culture contamination because they are poured in a laboratory under completely sterile conditions.

-
"MEA+" Medium (Malt Extract, Agar-agar, Peptone):
A rich nutrient medium suitable for culturing most mycelia. Malt extract provides essential sugars and nutrients, agar-agar provides a solid base, and peptone enriches the medium with organic nitrogen in the form of peptides and amino acids. It also promotes bacterial growth, making it a good choice for testing the purity of air or samples (contamination tests). -
"Sabouraud + chloramphenicol" medium:
Enriched with an antibiotic (chloramphenicol), this medium limits bacterial growth and becomes highly selective. It is ideal for sensitive procedures such as the cloning of wild fungi or the germination of spores, especially under non-sterile conditions. Mycelial growth may, however, be slightly slower in this medium than in a medium such as MEA+.
Preservation
For best results, use the plates as soon as possible after receiving them.
To store the colonized plates:
Once the petri dishes have been colonized by the mycelium, store them in the refrigerator.
Shipping information:
We wrap the petri dish bags in bubble wrap to prevent breakage during shipping, but they are still fragile.
If the order contains other heavy items that could damage the boxes, we reserve the right to remove the item from the order or to charge an additional shipping fee to send it in a separate package.
During transport, condensation may form on the lid due to temperature fluctuations. This is not a problem in itself and will disappear during incubation.
Note: All warranty claims must be submitted with the boxes still sealed in their plastic packaging within 2 weeks of receipt.
