HydroMist 4000 – 4-Liter Ultrasonic Mist System with Extendable Hose

The HydroMist 4000 is a compact ultrasonic humidifier designed to maintain high humidity levels in grow tents, fruiting, terrariums, and other spaces that require regular misting.

Its 4-liter tank and three mist settings make it easy to adjust the amount of mist to suit the size of your setup. The included hose directs the mist into the grow space, while the humidifier can remain installed outside, protected from excessive moisture.

Important: This unit does not have a humidity sensor or a built-in hygrostat. To automate humidity control, we recommend pairing it with an external controller such as theInkbird IHC-200.

Automate your system with a humidity controller

The HydroMist 4000 restarts automatically when power is restored. It can therefore be used with an external humidity controller that turns the power on or off based on the measured h humidity level .

For an automated setup, we recommend the Inkbird IHC-200 humidity controller.

It's simple:

1. Plug the humidifier into the "humidification" output on the Inkbird controller.
2. Place the controller's sensor inside the tent or the room at fruiting.
3. Set the desired humidity level.
4. The controller automatically turns the humidifier on and off to maintain humidity within the set range.

The humidity controller is sold separately.

Installation

1. Place the humidifier on a stable, flat, and dry surface, ideally outside the tent or the room at fruiting.
2. Feed the hose through an opening in the tent or grow tent.
3. Position the hose nozzle so that the mist is distributed throughout the space without being directed directly at the mushrooms or the growing media.
4. Keep the hose as short and straight as possible.
5. Avoid creases, sharp bends, and low spots where condensation could accumulate.
6. Start with the lowest mist setting, then gradually increase it based on the measured humidity.

For optimal performance, place a hygrometer or the sensor from your humidity controller inside the grow space, away from the direct mist outlet.

What kind of water should I use?

We recommend usingdemineralized or distilled water. This helps minimize limescale buildup on the ultrasonic membrane and prevents the release of fine white dust caused by minerals found in some types of tap water.

Do not add essential oils, disinfectants, nutrients, or other products to the reservoir. The device is designed to operate with clean, cold water only.

Cleaning and Maintenance

• Always turn off and unplug the appliance before filling or cleaning it.
• Change the water regularly to prevent it from sitting in the tank.
• Periodically rinse the reservoir, the base, and the mist outlet with clean water.
• Gently clean the ultrasonic membrane with a soft brush or a non-abrasive cloth.
• Do not use any metal or abrasive objects on the membrane.
• Never submerge the power base in water.
• Empty and dry the appliance completely before storing it for an extended period.
