🌱 Variety
Shiitake mushrooms, known in Asia for over 7,000 years, are often called the “fragrant mushroom.” Rich in vitamins (particularly vitamins D and B) and trace minerals such as magnesium, phosphorus, and selenium, they offer numerous health benefits.
🎨 Shiitake mushrooms are characterized by their flat caps, which range in color from light brown to dark brown. Their flesh is firm yet tender, and depending on how they are cooked, they develop woody, earthy flavors with hints of hazelnut. The caps are generally between 3 and 6 cm in diameter.
Our Bundles
Our fruiting blocks let you grow your own shiitake mushrooms at home.
- Ingredients: Water, sawdust, grains (including alfalfa), lime, mycelium. Net weight per bale: approx. 4.8 kg.
- Dimensions: 25 x 20 x 20 cm (L x W x H)
The substrate was incubated for approximately 75 days to allow the mycelium to break down and absorb the nutrients needed for optimal production. This variety of shiitake produces the majority of its mushrooms during the first harvest 7 to 10 days). Our kits are among the most productive on the market.
Note: The harvest estimates harvest based on our experience but are not guaranteed. Yields depend on growing conditions and the grower’s experience.
Our commitment to quality:
We produce our mycelium in laboratory conditions, which ensures the purity of the strains and optimal quality.
Our mycelium is produced using 100% organic methods, and all our products are certified "BE-BIO-01, Agriculture Belgique" by CERTISYS.

🔧 Usage
If you can't use the bundle right away, you can store it in the refrigerator for 3 to 5 days.
To prepare the bundle:
- Remove the plastic from the bag over a sink and rinse the bundle with clean water.
- Place the bundle on a plate.
- To maintain a constant level of humidity, you can cover the bundle with a plastic bag with holes in it.
🌿 Where should you grow it?
Shiitake mushrooms can be grown indoors (in the kitchen, garage, or basement). They require indirect light and a humidity level of 80–90%. Avoid drafts, radiators, and direct sunlight to prevent the log from drying out. To increase humidity, spray water or water the substrate 1 to 2 times a day. Cover the substrate with a perforated plastic sheet to maintain humidity while allowing it to breathe.
🍄 harvest Storage
Harvest between 1 and 1.5 kg of fresh mushrooms in 1 to 2 harvests. After the first harvest, let the substrate dry for 1 to 2 weeks, then soak it overnight in water before placing it back on a plate with the grow tent. Most of the mushrooms are produced during the first harvest, but you can get additional harvests before composting the substrate.
Shiitake mushrooms will keep for about two weeks in a paper bag in the refrigerator. For longer storage, you can dry them, freeze them, or can them.
