Replacement G4 Prefilter (PureFlow)
PureFlow G4 Prefilter: the first line of defense against dust—and the best way to extend the life of your HEPA filter.
This pre-filter traps large particles before they reach the main filter, helps maintain a consistent airflow, and reduces your costs over the long term. Check it regularly and replace it as soon as it becomes clogged.
PureFlow G4 Replacement Prefilter: the small replacement part that extends the life of your HEPA filter.
Installed upstream of your main filter, the pre-filter traps the coarsest particles (dust, fibers, debris), improves user comfort, and helps extend the life of your HEPA filter.
What is it for?
- "Coarse" filtration (G4 class): captures visible particles and dust before they reach the HEPA filter.
- Protects the main filter: less clogging = longer-lasting HEPA filter.
- More consistent airflow: a new pre-filter helps maintain optimal airflow performance.
Installation: Install the pre-filter at the air intake of your unit or system (PureFlow or custom installation), ensuring it is securely fitted and airtight to prevent unfiltered air from entering through the sides.

Airflow performance
| Setting | Typical value |
|---|---|
| Nominal flow rate | 500–800 m³/h |
| Recommended air velocity | ≤ 2.5 m/s |
| Initial pressure drop | 30–40 Pa |
| Recommended final pressure drop | 150–200 Pa |
👉 The pressure drop gradually increases as the filter becomes clogged with dust.
When should it be replaced?
We recommend checking the pre-filter every 1 to 3 months (depending on your environment). Replace it if it looks gray or dirty, if the airflow seems to be decreasing, or if it is damaged.
FAQ
Can I clean the prefilter?
We recommend replacing it when it is dirty or damaged. Avoid washing it with water: moisture can warp the filter media and reduce its performance. If necessary, you can gently remove surface dust with a low-suction vacuum, without rubbing.
Why is this so important if I already have a HEPA filter?
The HEPA filter handles fine filtration, but it clogs up faster if nothing catches the larger particles first. The pre-filter takes the brunt of the dirt, allowing the HEPA filter to remain effective for much longer.
What are the signs of a clogged pre-filter?
A gray or black appearance, visible dust, a noticeable drop in airflow, and the fan running louder. If in doubt, replace it.
Note: Service life varies depending on the cleanliness of the work area, frequency of use, and the airtightness of the installation. For best results, work in a clean environment free from drafts.
