The Yellow Oyster Mushroom (pleurotus citrinopileatus) is native to Asia.
It has a unique flavor reminiscent of citrus fruits with a more tender and delicate texture than its cousin the gray oyster mushroom.
We produce this variety mainly in the off-seasons (early autumn - spring) because it likes heat.
Rather robust variety and resistant to contamination.
The caps range in size from 3 to 7cm, the color ranging from bright yellow to pale yellow depending on the growing conditions.
Conservation of mycelium: 1 month in the fridge

Cultivation condition
Yellow oyster mushrooms need more heat than other varieties of oyster mushrooms. They grow well between 15 and 25°. High humidity at the start of fruiting. Avoid drafts and stress at the start of fruiting. Their beautiful yellow color develops best with high brightness
Substrates
Pasteurized straw, pasteurized sawdust and other lino-cellulose materials. Indoor or outdoor cultivation. We recommend our ready-to-use substrate , particularly suitable for wood-eating varieties.
