Guaranteed non-GMO soy wax
After inserting the dowels into the logs, the holes are usually covered with wax. We count around 50g for a 1 meter high log inoculated with 50 dowels. According to our experience it takes a little less than a gram per dowel, and we count a little more to cover the edges of the log.
The wax serves to protect the mycelium from insects and diseases as well as from drying out.
Unlike the often used paraffin, soy wax is plant-based and will break down quickly in the environment without creating waste.
