100% beech pellets
- 🍄 100% ORGANIC BEECH PELLETS: Ideal for growing mushrooms such as oyster mushrooms, shiitake mushrooms and other wood varieties.
- 🌱 PURE COMPOSITION: Made from 100% natural beech sawdust, without additives, guaranteeing a substrate free of chemicals and rich in nutrients.
- 💪 STANDARDIZATION AND CLEANLINESS: Pelletizing the sawdust eliminates a large part of the contaminants, ensuring a clean and ready-to-use substrate.
- 📦 EASY USE AND STORAGE: Ready to hydrate and inoculate with your favorite mycelium, these pellets are convenient to store, taking up four times less volume than unpelletized sawdust.
- 🌍 ORGANIC CERTIFICATION: Certified “BE-BIO-01” by Certisys, guaranteeing an environmentally friendly product that complies with organic farming standards.
Composition: 100% beech sawdust
Usable in Organic Agriculture. Our pellets/granules are guaranteed additive-free.
Pelletization of the ingredients allows for substrate standardization, eliminating a large portion of contaminants during compaction. Storage takes up 4 times less space, saving you room. Long-term preservation is guaranteed, so you can use it whenever you need.
It's mainly the lignin, which through compaction and temperature rise, binds the sawdust into granules. No glues or other products are added.
Usage
Beech pellets can be used pure or supplemented with other materials richer in sugars, nitrogen, or proteins, for example. Adding other richer materials makes the substrate less selective, thus more susceptible to contamination by bacteria or molds.
We recommend using beech pellets with our unicorn 3T bags.
Place 1 kg of pellets per bag.
Add approximately 1.8 liters of boiling water (99°C) into the bag (=60-65% moisture content based on the total weight of pellets + water), let the pellets absorb the water. Close the top of the bags to limit contamination. Let cool for 3-4 hours or more until the temperature is below 38°C.
Then, inoculate with approximately 10% mycelium once the pellets have cooled. A high percentage of grains will enrich the substrate and increase productivity.
Example: 5 3T bags with 1 kg of beech pellets and 1.8 liters of water. How much mycelium is needed? By adding 300 grams of mycelium per bag, you will need a 1.5 kg bag of grain mycelium.
