Discover our culture media for preparing your petri dishes:

  • Medium "MEA+" (Malt Extract, Agar-agar, Peptone) :
Rich nutrient medium, suitable for the cultivation of most mycelia. It also promotes the development of bacteria, making it a good choice for testing air or sample purity (contamination tests).

  • Environment "Sabouraud + Antibiotic":

Enriched with an antibiotic (chloramphenicol), this medium limits bacterial growth and becomes highly selective. It is ideal for sensitive manipulations such as cloning wild fungi or spore germination, especially under non-sterile conditions. However, mycelial growth may be somewhat slower than with a medium like MEA+.

These media are designed to be used with our sterile petri dishes and our stretch films.

    Use :

    • Dissolve the 47 g sachet in 1 liter of hot water (preferably distilled or demineralized water). Mix well.
    • Sterilize at 121°C (15 PSI) for 20-30 minutes.
    • Let cool to 45-50°C, then distribute into petri dishes.

Cooling and distribution of the agar in petri dishes must be done in a sterile environment (laminar flow hood, Bunsen burner, or other technique) to avoid contamination.

If you pour the liquid too hot into the petri dishes, condensation may form on the lids. If you wait too long for cooling, the mixture may solidify.
