Manual Inoculator for Mycelium on Sawdust

Manual inoculation tool allowing quick introduction of mycelium into wood holes. Designed for 12 mm holes and a depth of 30 mm.

For the mycelium, we recommend our culture logs which can be considered as mycelium on sawdust. Our grain myceliums can also be used; however, their use is less practical and the smell of the grains tends to attract insects, rodents, and birds. Therefore, more vigilance is needed regarding the wax covering and the first weeks of log incubation.

For making holes, you can use our 12 mm wood drill bits or even better our Japanese drill bits optimized for this work.

For this tool, we work in collaboration with an artisan producer located in Asturias, Spain.

Usage:

After and before each use, clean the tool with a small brush, possibly a damp cloth. If necessary, scrub with soapy water to remove any grime that could introduce contaminants.
