Pre-poured Petri Dishes
- 🧫 PRE-FILLED PETRI DISHES: Ideal for fungal cultures and cloning, with sterilized agar.
- 💎 ADVANTAGES: Ease of use and reduction of risk of contamination.
- 🔬 DIFFERENT MEDIA: “MPA” medium (Malt, Peptone, Agar-agar) for the multiplication of mycelia, and “Sabouraud + Antibiotic” medium to purify the mycelium.
- 📏 STORAGE ADVICE: Store vertically, at room temperature, in the original packaging. Use quickly.
- 🌍 VARIED USES: Ideal for culturing microorganisms, sample analysis and laboratory testing.

Choosing pre-filled agar plates offers many advantages compared to manual preparation. In addition to convenience, they reduce the risk of culture contamination, as they are poured in a laboratory under completely sterile conditions.

-
Medium "MEA+" (Malt Extract, Agar-agar, Peptone) :
Rich nutrient medium, suitable for the cultivation of most mycelia. Malt extract provides sugars and essential nutrients, agar-agar ensures a solid base, and peptone enriches the medium with organic nitrogen in the form of peptides and amino acids. It also promotes the development of bacteria, making it a good choice for testing the purity of air or samples (contamination tests). -
Sabouraud + chloramphenicol medium :
Enriched with an antibiotic (chloramphenicol), this medium limits bacterial growth and becomes highly selective. It is ideal for sensitive manipulations such as cloning wild fungi or spore germination, especially under non-sterile conditions. However, mycelial growth may be somewhat slower than with a medium like MEA+.
Conservation
For optimal results, use the plates as soon as possible after receiving them.
To store the colonized plates:
Once the petri dishes are colonized by the mycelium, store them in the refrigerator.
Transport information:
We protect the petri dish bags with bubble wrap to prevent breakage during transport, but it remains a fragile product.
If the order contains other heavy items that may damage the boxes, we reserve the right to remove the item from the order or to add an additional shipping fee to send it in a separate package.
During transport, condensation may appear on the lid, which is related to temperature variations. This is not problematic in itself, and it disappears during incubation.
Note: All warranty claims must be submitted with the boxes still sealed in their plastic within 2 weeks of receipt.
