Yellow Oyster Mushroom (pleurotus citrinopileatus) : A mushroom native to Asia.
Yellow oyster mushrooms are rich in proteins, vitamins, and minerals, adding nutritional value to your meals. They also contain ergothioneine, a natural amino acid, as well as beta-glucans.
The yellow oyster mushroom has a unique flavor reminiscent of citrus, with a texture more tender and delicate than its cousin, the grey oyster mushroom.
The yellow oyster mushroom is a tropical variety that naturally fruits when temperatures reach 18 to 25°. It withstands light frosts without problems.
Off-season cultivation: We mainly produce this variety in the off-seasons (early autumn - spring) as it appreciates warmth.
Robustness: Resistant variety, it is less prone to contamination.
Caps: The caps measure between 3 and 7 cm and their color ranges from bright yellow to pale yellow depending on the growing conditions.
❄️ Mycelium storage: 1 month in the refrigerator (1-4°C).

Our quality commitment:

We produce our myceliums under laboratory conditions, which guarantees purity of strains and optimal quality.

We produce our mycelia in a 100% organic way and all our products are certified "BE-BIO-01, Agriculture Belgium" by CERTISYS.

🌱 Growing conditions
Yellow oyster mushrooms require more heat than other varieties. They grow well between 15 and 25°C. Maintain high humidity at the start of fruiting. Avoid drafts and stress to ensure a beautiful yellow coloration, which develops better with good lighting.
🛠️ Substrates
For indoor cultivation: Use pasteurized straw, pasteurized wood chips, or other lignocellulosic materials.
We recommend our organic straw pellets which work particularly well with oyster mushrooms, simply adding 1 teaspoon of lime and 2 liters of cold water per kg of pellets.
Our wood sawdust-based substrate adapted to lignicolous varieties will also work very well.
