Our nutrient bags are made from a blend of organic cereals and organic organic materials. They are sterilized in an autoclave and packaged in the laboratory.

Quantities required:

Mycelium bag size Sown area Number of nutrient bags needed Harvest Potential
1,5 kg Approximately 5 m² 5 nutrient bags 1-2 kg of morels
3 kg Approximately 10 m² 10 nutrient bags 2-4 kg of morels

Why use exogenous food bags?

The morel will feed first on its so-called “endogenous” food, that which is found in the soil. Quickly, the morel mycelium will then have to be fed with so-called “exogenous” food, which is placed on the ground. This gourmet mushroom needs sugar intake (starches, cellulose and simple sugars).

We recommend for this our nutritional bags which should be placed with an opening facing the ground. Another technique is to bring cooked apples, cut in half and placed with the opening facing the explosion of the mycelium.

The mycelium of the morel will thus pass from a rich environment (its point of inoculation), through an environment poor in nutrients (the earth), to go again towards an environment rich in sugars (exogenous food). It is this alternation of richness of environments which will allow it to correctly develop its sclerotia, which will then allow it to produce beautiful morels.

GOOD

Hello, a bit early to evaluate the product but for now no contamination, the morel mycelium is in the process of colonizing the sterilized grain bags.
