Produce your wood-growing mushrooms with our sterilized substrate bags, whenever you want.
Usable in Organic Farming. Our "Optimal" substrate is made of wood sawdust (without glues or treatments) and cereal residues of organic origin. We are controlled and certified by Certisys (BE-BIO-01).
Productivity. We have studied the composition of the different ingredients to provide the mycelium with an optimal substrate in terms of carbon/nitrogen ratio, sugars, and minerals. Made from a base of beech sawdust, this substrate is suitable for wood-decomposing mushrooms: oyster mushrooms, eryngis, namekos, lion's manes, reishi, as well as shiitakes which are generally more demanding in terms of substrate.
Storage: The bags can be stored for 3 to 4 weeks in a cool and clean room. However, for best results, we recommend using them quickly after receipt.
Contents: approx. 5.2 kg of substrate included in a microfilter bag (Unicorn XLS-A)
To inoculate them, we recommend using our grain spawn.
They are sterilized and then sealed in the laboratory to guarantee sterility during transport. They can be stored for several weeks before use, but for safety, we advise using them sooner.
Usage
- Clean the outside of the bag, especially where you will open it at the top, with 70% alcohol or 10% bleach.
- Clean a sharp blade, and if possible, heat it with a flame first. Using this, open the bag just below the seal.
- Inoculate with 5 to 10% of grain spawn. That is 250 to 500 g of grain spawn per bag. If your sterility conditions are good, you can try reducing the percentage of mycelium.
- Reseal the bag using a sealer, clips, or adhesive tape. Leave as much air as possible inside the bag and ensure the filter remains clear.
- Mix the substrate to distribute the grains throughout the substrate.
- Place the bag in incubation at a temperature of 20-24°C.
Transport
Due to the volume and weight of the substrates, we can only put 4 bales per package: it is therefore preferable to choose a multiple of 4. It may happen that our site does not correctly calculate the appropriate number of packages if you order a large number of bags or several products at once. In this case, we reserve the right to reduce product quantities or increase the necessary shipping costs.
We can also ship up to 80 bales per pallet. Shipping costs vary depending on the destination. Transport can be handled by you or by us.
Note:
- During transport, condensation may appear on the plastics, which is related to temperature variations. This is not problematic in itself.
- All warranty claims must be submitted with the bags still sealed within 10 days of receipt. Claims are made by email with detailed photos of the problem.
