📋 Usage
If you cannot use the log immediately, you can store it for about 2 weeks in the fridge. This variety prefers temperatures between 15 and 29°C, ideally between 18 and 22°C.
To get beautiful colors, ensure a good amount of light. Make a cut on the side of the log at the substrate level, expel the air from the bag, and place it with the opening on the side. Keep the bag moist until buds appear, with humidity between 80 and 90%. Use our minispray or our professional misters to maintain optimal humidity.

🏡 Where to grow it?
Grow indoors (kitchen, garage, cellar). Oyster mushrooms need some light to grow. Prefer indirect sunlight and avoid anything that could dry out the Fruiting Block: drafts, heaters, direct sun. Oyster mushrooms like humidity but do not like to be constantly soaked.
📦 Harvest and storage
You need to harvest the clusters before the edges of the caps curl up and start to brown slightly. At the beginning of growth, the caps can double in size each day. When growth starts to slow down, it is usually the right time to harvest. Harvesting young mushrooms allows better preservation, as well as a brighter color and a more tender texture. Twist the clusters off by turning them on themselves. Remove the remaining stem pieces on the substrate and keep it moist until the next harvest.
We usually do 3 harvests on this type of logs. The first harvest is the most abundant, and the following harvests decrease by half each time.
Oyster mushrooms can be kept for about 7 to 10 days in a paper bag in the fridge. For longer storage, you can freeze them or preserve them.
💡 Tips
To encourage the growth and productivity of the second and third harvests:
- Re-moisten the bags by soaking them overnight in water, then drain and put them back into cultivation.
- Give a thermal shock by placing the log in a cool place overnight (fridge or outside). This simulates the arrival of winter and encourages mushroom reproduction.
