📦 Usage
If you cannot use the bundle immediately, store it in the refrigerator for about 2 weeks. This variety can be grown all year round, with an ideal temperature between 12°C and 20°C.
- Make a cut in the side of the bale at the substrate level.
- Squeeze the air out of the bag well to prevent mushrooms from growing inside.
- Lay the bag with the opening on its side.
- Keep the bag moist until buds appear.
- Keep humidity at 80-90% when growing mushrooms.
Use our minispray or professional misters to maintain optimal humidity.

🌱 Where to Grow It?
Grow indoors (kitchen, garage, cellar). Oyster mushrooms need a little light to grow. Prefer indirect sunlight and avoid anything that could dry out the bale: drafts, radiators, direct sun. Oyster mushrooms like humidity but don't like to be soaked all the time.
🔄 Harvest
Harvest the bunches before the edges of the caps rise and begin to brown slightly. At the beginning of growth, the caps can double in size each day. When growth slows and the caps turn light gray, it is a good time to harvest. Harvesting young mushrooms allows for better preservation and a more tender texture.
Tear off the bunches by turning them on themselves. Remove any remaining stem pieces from the substrate and keep it moist until the next harvest.
Generally, we do 3 harvests per bale. The first is the most abundant, the following ones decrease by half each time.
Oyster mushrooms will keep for around 7 to 10 days in a paper bag in the refrigerator. For longer storage, you can freeze or can them.
💡 Tips
To encourage productivity of second and third harvests:
- Remoisten the bags by immersing them overnight in water, then drain them and return them to culture.
- Give a thermal shock by placing the bundle in a cool place overnight (refrigerator or outside). This simulates the arrival of winter and encourages the reproduction of the fungus.
